Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js and React)

Our client is a fast-growing real estate data platform headquartered in Edmonton, offering free access to residential and commercial property data, including sold prices, estimated values, and historical trends. Backed by robust data science and machine learning, it serves a wide audience — from buyers and sellers to investors and lenders.

The project involves ongoing modernization, automation, and expansion of services, targeting both B2B and B2C audiences through innovative tools, API services, and advanced dashboards.

• Design and implement new revenue-generating features for both individual and business clients.
• Optimize and extend the administrative dashboard to improve automation and operational efficiency.
• Work with AWS and GitHub to automate infrastructure and build CI/CD pipelines; Terraform knowledge is a plus.
• Design, extend, and maintain API layers (REST/GraphQL) and data synchronization workflows to ensure reliable and scalable integrations.
• Work directly with the customer and development team in a full-cycle development role within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Assist in the partial website redesign to enhance usability and user experience.
• Identify and resolve existing bugs and performance issues.
• Promote clear communication and help establish transparent delivery processes across teams.

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong expertise with React, Next.js, and Chakra UI for frontend development.
• Proven experience with Node.js, Nest.js, and Express on the backend.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and integrating with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS/EKS, Glue, and OpenSearch.
• Experience utilizing Terraform, Docker, and GitHub Actions for infrastructure automation and CI/CD.
• Solid knowledge of software design principles, modern architectural patterns, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead key areas of development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Spoken English.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Stripe integrations for payments and subscriptions.
• Knowledge of Mapbox GL JS for advanced geospatial/mapping functionality.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and implementing geo-search capabilities.
• Experience in PropTech or real estate platforms.
• Background in setting up analytical dashboards and working with notification systems (e.g., SES, email analytics).
